Kalven Prize Fund » Donate Online

The Harry Kalven, Jr. Prize is awarded every year in the spring to an individual whose empirical scholarship has contributed most effectively to the advancement of law and society research. It is not a book prize, neither is it a "career achievement" award, but is given in recognition of a body of scholarly work, at least some portion of which has been completed in recent years.Contributions to LSA funds are tax exempt in the U.S.

Franklin Prize Fund » Donate Online

The John Hope Franklin Prize was established in 2011 and is named for John Hope Franklin, a Professor of History and Law. It is to be awarded annually to recognize exceptional scholarship in the field of Race, Racism and the Law. Contributions to LSA are tax exempt in the US.

Student Paper Fund » Donate Online

The Student Paper Prize is awarded each year in two categories, Undergraduate and Graduate/Law, for the paper written within the previous 18 months of the award year that best represents outstanding law and society research. Contributions to LSA funds are tax exempt in the U.S.

The Dissertation Prize is awarded every year in the spring for the dissertation written in the previous year that best represents outstanding law and society research. Contributions to LSA funds are tax exempt in the U.S.

The LSA Article Prize is awarded every year in the spring for the best article in sociolegal studies published within the two years prior to the award year. Contibutions to LSA funds are tax exempt in the U.S.

International Scholar Prize Fund » Donate Online

The International Prize is awarded every two years in the spring to a scholar who normally resides outside the United States in recognition of scholarship that has contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in the field of law and society. International Travel Fund » Donate Online

The International Travel Fund is a special initiative established to support annual meeting attendance for scholars from certain countries of the world where little funding is available for travel to conferences held outside their borders. Contributions to LSA funds are tax exempt in the U.S.

Wheeler Award Prize Fund » Donate Online

The Stan Wheeler Mentorship Prize was established and first awarded in 2009. It is awarded annually to the Association member who is regarded by his or her peers as an outstanding mentor and supporter of professional, graduate, or undergraduate students pursuing studies in the area of law and social science. Contributions to LSA funds are tax exempt in the U.S.

Pipken Award Prize Fund » Donate Online

The Ronald Pipkin Service Award is awarded annually to an LSA Member who has demonstrated sustained and extraordinary service to the Association. Forms of service that will be awarded should be independent of elected office and appointed roles such as Program Chair, although those roles can be considered as part of a larger record.
